The most commonly consumed tea in the US is black tea. Black tea is fully oxidized producing it’s dark color, robust taste character and caffeine content (the most of all tea categories, yet still less than ½ as much as the same size cup of coffee). Research indicates that black tea aids in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The CO2 de-caffeination process used to extract the caffeine maintains maximum benefit and taste character.
